Precautions
Safeguard Your Seed Phrase
Store the seed phrase you receive when creating your non-custodial wallet in a secure location. For added safety, make several backup copies and keep them in different protected places. Never photograph your seed phrase or store it in the cloud or on your mobile device
Never Share Your Seed Phrase
Your seed phrase is strictly personal. Never disclose it to anyone, including Value representatives. Under no circumstances will we ever request your private keys or seed phrase
Verify Addresses Carefully
Before sending any cryptocurrency, always double-check the recipient’s address using multiple sources. Utilize blockchain explorers to confirm the address belongs to the intended person or service. Never copy addresses from transaction history, as malware can substitute them with fraudulent addresses
Avoid Public Wi-Fi Networks
Do not use public Wi-Fi in cafes, airports, or other shared spaces for wallet access or transactions. Such networks are vulnerable to data interception. Prefer mobile internet or a trusted home network for all sensitive operations
Prevent Phishing Attacks
Disable automatic wallet connections to websites in your browser settings. Many browser wallets connect by default, increasing risk. Always verify the website you’re visiting, avoid connecting to suspicious sites, and never rush to confirm transactions unless you are certain of their legitimacy
Secure Your Social Media Accounts
Enable two-factor authentication on your social media accounts to protect them even if your password is stolen. Disable automatic file downloads to reduce the risk of malware infection
Stay Alert to Social Engineering
Be wary of “insider leaks” or exclusive offers circulating on social networks, especially from Telegram channels. Never click suspicious links, even if sent by acquaintances—their accounts may be compromised. Ignore such messages
